Dangerous? Try evil.
I hate Donald Trump! That comes as no surprise to anyone who has read my daily Facebook posts. I don’t hate him because he’s the Republican candidate for President. While I was no fan of Mitt Romney or John McCain, I never hated them. I didn’t agree with any of their policy ideas, but I felt they were decent people, and in McCain’s case, a war hero.
Hate is a strong word, and one I don’t use lightly. I get annoyed very easily. People who don’t use their turn signals annoy me. People who drive under the speed limit annoy me. People who have NRA stickers on their cars or trucks deeply annoy me, but I don’t hate them. I hate Donald Trump, though. Why? It’s simple. Donald Trump is our generation’s Adolf Hitler.
Whoa! That’s a pretty strong statement. After all, Hitler was responsible for the deaths of nine million people, including six million Jews. Please don’t forget that there was a time when Hitler was just a guy who decided that Jews were to blame for all of Germany’s troubles. He found a scapegoat in the Jews. Hitler had charisma, and he used it to gain a tremendous following. Millions of Germans found comfort by blaming others for their problems. Hitler offered up the Jews, and his fellow Germans gladly accepted.
Hitler raved about Jews being responsible for the poor German economy. He yelled about Jews controlling the media and banks. He said Jews should be treated as second-class citizens because they are more loyal to their faith than their country, in this case Germany. Ultimately, he stirred up such an incredibly high level of hate towards Jews that Germans looked the other way as millions of people were slaughtered.
Donald Trump has called on a ban of Muslims entering the United States. He’s expanded that plan to include people coming from nations that include a high number of Muslims. He blames the Muslim community in America for not doing more to stop attacks like the one that took place in Orlando. He preaches bigotry and hatred.
He blames illegal immigrants from Mexico for taking job away from Americans. Whenever there’s a crime committed that involves a Hispanic, he blames it on illegals. His solution is to build a wall reminiscent of the grotesque Berlin Wall.
Hitler made up his own facts to paint Jews as evil. Trump does the same thing, only about Muslims and Mexicans. Hitler wanted to make Germany great again by ruining the lives of others. Trump wants to make America “great again” by isolating us from the rest of the world.
No, Trump isn’t going to kill six million Muslims or Mexicans. He’s not going to attack Mexico or Canada, At least, I hope he doesn’t. What he wants to do is close off our wonderful nation to anyone he doesn’t agree with. What he wants is the complete opposite of what our founding fathers had in mind.
Yes, I hate Donald Trump. I hate his ideas, his bigotry, his xenophobia and his hair. I hate the fact that he has a chance to be our next President. I hate that some people I consider friends intend to vote for a man who I believe is evil.
Donald, I desperately hope you lose. I hope you disappear. I hope something very heavy falls on you.
